Hi! I'm Syryana, joined February 24, 2013.
I'm currently playing in Mini 1441, Mini 1443, Open 490.
Information
I originally encountered Mafia as a forum game on my old guild website. Though fun, it got old when the same 7-10 people played every single game and they all started making assumptions based on what we did in previous game. Excellent play (on both town and scum sides) was generally punished by an early lynch in the next game, so I went a-hunting for other places to play Mafia on a more regular basis. I came here.
I prefer being scum to town, since I like to know all and pretend I don't rather than quiver at night with a gun in my hand, but I can have a good time as a townie as well.
I do like to actively scumhunt though, and I'm not above hunting the wrong person to get reactions and/or fool the scum (and ofttimes town) as to what I'm about.

| This was the second game I signed up for but the first to complete. This game was the Duck, Duck, Goose! format, which blew my mind when I saw it and I absolutely HAD to play it. I did a fairly decent job as scum, reading as town for most folks. We had only two players, since our third RachMarie afk'd out and didn't get replaced by Majiffy until Day 2. There was a spot of bother on Day 3, Klick managed to get me at L-1 in the space of six or so hours, but Wisdom came to my rescue. We managed to quickhammer fuzzybutternut because he started acting weird after my wagon disintegrated and we shot Limo that night for the win. Hardest part by far: Figuring out who to NK or even if we should NK.

| This game was full of vets and verifiably insane. My slot was also pretty scummy; I was wondering who my partner was until I got the Doc role PM! They lynched the cop on Day 1, my play the next day was a careful attempt to appear just scummy enough to avoid a NK. I voted my lower suspect to generate reactions and to prevent the vets from abandoning my main scumread's wagon thanks to my noobery. I hammered the mafia RB on D2, saved Dazed and Confused from being killed at night, and we lynched the remaining goon D3. The winning town team was: Sotty7, jasonT1981, Dazed and Confused, Cogito Ergo Sum, and Syryana. | |||||

| This was really fun. I actually got VT for once, so I just went jolly gee willakers with it. Votes everywhere, scumhunting, sheeping the SE, fun times. I got into it D2 with two other townies; this was my first interaction with the universal scumread Ms Marangal <3. I hammered on D1 and D2, and it almost got me lynched at D3 mylo. Thanks to some valiant defense during D3, I convinced the other townies I was town and we lynched both scum on D3 and D4. Winning town was Syryana, Mathdino, MeowMix. | |||||

| This game was a damn near perfect town win. I got first pick in the draft, picked JK. Helped lynch scum on Day 1 thanks to the replacement, Demon. He was too aggressive and generally scummy. My night action was useless; I got RB'd by scum. I knew I'd be either RB'd or killed since I was top pick on the draft. I actually preferred to lynch a townie over the final scum on the last day; the scum was my second pick. Happily nobody wanted to follow my lead, so we won. Kudos to Hoopla for shooting scum N1 as a 1-shot vig. | I was Galen Tyrol, the watcher. I watched who I suspected would be the NK on N1, turned out the NK was this totally random guy that I never expected! I got super paranoid about the role cop D2 and tried to push him; no dice. I did correctly intuit the other mobster pitoli though, so that's good. The role cop played very anti-town D2 to not get NK'd, while a good strat, it almost got me to vote for him. Right up until the flip I thought he was a mafia role-cop fakeclaiming a ninja-investigate on a Town-aligned player especially since I saw him visit that player at Night. It never occurred to me that he was a legit role cop that simply saw him (Ninja makes perfect sense in a Watcher game). | I was the Sherlock Holmes Prodigy, the 1-shot Global Watcher. Being the Prodigy was terrifying. I've never had a 1-shot role before and I was sure the mafia would RB me. Turns out the mafia didn't have an RB and an overreaction got me to L-1 on the first Day. Fortunately, I convinced the town to lynch someone else (a VT, but better a VT than a PR) and popped my power, knowing I'd be RB'd or killed since I'd softclaimed and mafia knew there was a prodigy. I died that night, but to my surprise there was a prodigy backup who got my result. They quicklynched a scum, RachMarie, mislynched the Doc but correctly killed thenewearth in LyLo. | This game was amazing. I replaced in early Day 1 for Limo, bussed one of my partners when it became apparent he was going to be lynched. Between the various one shot ability items created and the active lurking I was doing I managed to wreak a fair amount of havoc on the town. Also instrumental to the win was the no-reveal dayvig, who kindly roasted two townies for us. Came down to 3v2 LyLo, but a fortunate choice by the backup dayvig cost town the game. | |||||

| I got suckered by a scummy new townie on the first Day, suckered by a scummy RB on Day 2. Not so great. Actually called the GM/Malakittens scumteam on D3, but by then it was 3 town v 3 scum so we were screwed anyways. SK Bulbazak played really well; excellent replacement SK.
