General Info

I joined MafiaScum.net at the end of September 2007; the 24th, for those of you who need to know. I honestly don't remember how I found the site...which is probably not a good sign for my short- or long-term memory, but I don't really remember why it's not a good sign. My username happens to be coincidentally the same as that of the brightest star in Orion, and my friends gave it to me as a nickname for some reason a few years back. So now, that's what you get to call me. I'd like to develop a forum personality sooner or later, but until then, I'm just going to be that personality-less dude with the ninja avatar that's calling for your lynch.

This was a great game to get started with online Mafia through. I was one of two Mafiosos in the C9 setup, facing a town without any power roles. It started off all right, although a few newbie mistakes I made initially nearly got me lynched early on. However, after managing to dodge that bullet, I was able to point suspicion at the remainder of the newbies and avoid suspicion. However, my scumpartner wasn't as subtle as I, and was beginning to grow suspected. However, when a large number of people, including my partner, dropped out and were replaced, I was able to bus him and steer the town towards the lynches of the remaining townsfolk over the course of the very short Days 2 and 3.

This game didn't go quite as well as my first game. The first day opened up with an argument about whether or not people should random vote, and ended after multiple accusations when a few townies suggested a no lynch and the scum jumped on the idea. After that, things just got worse, when the Vigilante Khelvaster went rogue and killed Prof. Guppy, who he believed to be scum rather than the suggested target Johoohno, who turned out to be the Jester when he was killed the subsequent night. Doing so nearly got him lynched, and it was a miracle that we managed to catch one of the Mafia that night. However, when a seemingly scummy Lawrencelot claimed cop, the Mafia-aligned Joubert counter-claimed, and we lynched the wrong person, leading us to a Town Loss. However, it was my first game as town, and was an excellent learning experience, especially in comparison to my prior game.

This was my first themed game, and so I really had no idea what to expect. The game started off with a flame war, which was annoying, but eventually, the game got back on track. The game proceeded fairly normally after that. However, one interesting mechanic we discovered was that the Mafia's kills would occur during that day's lynch, not overnight. However, mid-Day 3, I was killed without warning by the Serial Killer, who turned out to be competentpsycho. He would eventually win the game, after kuribo, a Suicide Bomber, killed the last remaining scum, leaving few enough townies that competentpsycho could win, revealing his role to be Chucky.
