Universal Finder

Universal Finder Alias: Universal Role Finder Alignment: any Role type: Investigative Choice: Night Status: Experimental Normal

A Universal Role Finder, or Universal Finder, is a investigative role that learns whether someone is a specific power role of their choice or not. For example, a Universal Finder may investigate someone to see if they are a Cop or a Roleblocker or any other unmodified Normal role of their choice. Modifiers and other parts of roles are not considered.

Normal version

This role is on the Experimental Role List, and is currently allowed in Complex Normal games.

A Universal Finder targets a player and chooses an unmodified role. The Universal Finder will then act as a [role]-Finder of the chosen role.

A Universal Finder will get a positive result if their target is the role they have chosen, including modified roles and multiroles. A positive result will still be returned on a depleted X-shot role or an inactive Backup role.

Variations

In Theme games, Universal Finders may be able to choose any role ability that could possibly exist.

A Universal Finder may be allowed to choose role modifiers as well as roles.
