Description

Players are given a phrase to post. They must post that phrase either as frequently as they can, or at specific durations. This challenge is often referred to as "Driving The Ship Forward" in reference to a particularly infamous implementation of this challenge in Survivor: Mass Effect.

Examples

Variations

Duels

In Challenge 2, Survivor: Mushroom Kingdom used this challenge as a duel between two players. After one player posted "[character] hits the ball towards the hole", the other player had to post the same thing exactly five minutes later. If a player failed their opponent got a point, and the first to four points won.

Survivor: Mushroom Kingdom also used this as another duel in Challenge 4 where instead each player had to post "[contestant] hits the ball." every 10 minutes as often as they could within a 24-hour period.

Elimination-Based

Survivor: Mushroom Kingdom, in Challenge 11, required players to post "[character] whacks a Montey Mole [*/25]" until they reached [25/25]. At that point they could post "[character] whacks [character] out of the challenge." to eliminate a player. The last player standing won immunity.

Survivor: Mushroom Kingdom in Challenge 17, required players to post "[character] runs towards a star [*/25]" Once they reached [25/25], they could post "character] collects a star for [character]". Once all but one player had a star, the starless player was eliminated. The challenge then repeated until only one player was left.

Versus Player

Survivor: Mushroom Kingdom required players to post "[character] attacks [enemycharacter] with a fire flower. [enemycharacter] has X damage." no more than once every 15 minutes for a 24-hour period. The player with the least amount of damage won immunity.
