A Toolsmith is an investigative role that checks to see if a player has access to Killing or Role Investigative actions and no other types of actions.

Standard version

A Toolsmith investigates a player to see if they have access to Killing and/or Role Investigative actions (according to Natural Action Resolution/Normal Game) and no other types of actions.

For example, a Toolsmith will get a positive result on a Role Cop, a Mason Role Cop, but not a Doctor Role Cop.

The factional kill is a Killing action, so a Toolsmith will get a positive result on a Mafia Goon unless the Personal modifier is attached to the Toolsmith.

Variations

Gunsmith is a similar role to Toolsmith conceptually, however a Gunsmith checks for a list of roles.

You win if all threats to the town are eliminated and at least one town-aligned player is alive.

Welcome to game! You are a Town 1-shot Loud Toolsmith.

You have the following active ability:

  • Once in the game at Night, you may target a player.
