An administrative category for the purposes of moderator waiting lists, a Large Theme is defined as a Theme game which has 14 or more players.

Large Theme games are played in Theme Park.

See also List of Large Themes.

Players

Signups for large games take place in their own individual threads. To join a Large Theme game, players should post in the appropriate thread in the Queue ("/in" or "/in to play", for example). When the game is full, the players will be contacted by the game's moderator.

Moderators

In order to moderate a Large Theme, a moderator must have successfully run two games to completion. One of these games may be satisfied by the completion of three (3) Micro games, at least one of which must be of the moderator's own design. Finally, a moderator must have familiarity of Large Theme games, usually meaning playing a significant portion of at least one Large Theme Game.

Moderators must have a backup or co-moderator that is qualified to run a Large Theme themselves. A moderator may backup or co-mod no more than one game at a time, and a co-mod or backup mod is responsible for taking over the game if the primary moderator disappears or has to leave.

First time moderators of Large Theme games must have their games reviewed and signed off on by a qualified moderator (one who has moderated at least one large theme game). First time moderators of Large Theme games are limited to games that have twenty-one (21) players or fewer.

Moderators with experience on other sites may request that their body of work elsewhere count as one game of experience (PM mith); if approved, such moderators must still have completed one other game, on mafiascum.net.

There is often no waiting list for Large Theme games. However, moderators are still required to get approval in the Large Theme Game List thread. Once the List Mod has approved the game, the moderator can start a signup thread in Queue.
