Play Style

Although not thoroughly established on MafiaScum, on other Mafia sites where Inquisitor Vulcan Skorn (IVS) has had more experience he is characterized by a very reserved persona wherein he spends most of each Day doing nothing but gathering information and stating questions when something seems amiss to him. Although this sounds like lurking, in practice he plays an active role to keep the game moving while creating dossiers on every other player in the game. Once he feels he has gathered sufficient information proving a particular player as scum, he gives his entire dossier to the town and votes. He rarely, if ever, votes prior to giving this, although will use a Finger of Suspicion often in its stead. A tell of when he is close to giving all gathered information is when he uses his personal Fist of Suspicion (see below) after asking a question, stating the next words out of his target's mouth decide whether he will vote them or not. After voting, unless great amounts of information are given to show that his logic is incorrect or that lynching that particular player is extremely detrimental to the town, IVS will viciously pursue that player until a lynch is reached, and, on Day 2, proceed to gather information again, resuming his more laid back pre-vote style.

Things are rarely grey in IVS' mind, and, from preferring a black-and-white view of things, follows several maxims in his pursuit of scum such as "Lynch all Lurkers." Although this particular version of LAL he will give chase to greatly (as it prevents him from being able to gather information on a person), he uses caution with "Lynch all Liars" and is not very quick to attack that. Seeing it necessary to keep a game moving quickly and smoothly, while also knowing he himself is largely not capable of it, he is greatly in support of aggressiveness on the part of the other members of the town and does not see it as a scum-tell in any way, unless it is blind fervor for a player/players without much aim or reason. A case of this is in Newbie 661 when he stated: "Kairyuu sticks out more, though, out of his aggression. Unlike Lindisfarne, I do not find this inherently scummy, but rather only if it is without reason (either that it is unnecessary or that there is no logic behind the rhetorical offensives)." After this, he continued to defend Kairyuu for the remained of his brief time in the game until IVS replaced out.

Personal Creations

Although not yet shown on MafiaScum, Inquisitor Vulcan Skorn uses a mark of suspicion above both Finger of Suspicion and Hand of Suspicion called a Fist of Suspicion. This is used very rarely and only after demanding information from a player and when said information will determine in IVS' mind if the player is town or scum, resulting in the presentation of his dossier and vote. A note on Hand of Suspicion: IVS uses them in one of two ways. If he is not currently voting someone, he is simply suggesting that he is extremely suspicious of someone's actions. If he is currently voting someone, he is saying were it not for the fact he finds the current person who holds his vote more suspicious, he would attack that player instead.

Vendettas

As of yet, Inquisitor Vulcan Skorn does not have vendettas against any of the members on MafiaScum, although the only item that could be called a vendetta is a desire to play a complete game with Lindisfarne after some major, unresolved arguments between them in Newbie 661.
