Rebels in the Palace is an Open Setup designed by Xylthixlm and taking its name from Assassin in the Palace by Kelly Chen. Its important to note that in AITP the guards and king or kingdom is town. And the assassin is scum. While in RITP the guards and king or kingdom is scum. And the rebels are town

Flag in the Palace is an Open Setup designed by PokerFace. This setup takes RITP and adds a White Flag Mechanic to it. The Scum or Kingdom consists of the King and the Guards. The Town consist of the Rebels.

Setup

  • 1 King
  • X Guards
  • 2(X+1) Rebels

Mechanics

The game is Nightless and uses one of the two modified White Flag Mechanics:

  • Modified White Flag: (Black Flag)
    • Town (Rebels) lose if reduced to X+1 members (1/2 their total at game start die)
    • Mafia (Kingdom) lose if the King dies because that's how royal mafia normally works. Guards CAN NOT Day Talk

OR

  • Modified White Flag: (Grey Flag)
    • Town (Rebels) lose if reduced to X+1 members (1/2 their total at game start die)
    • Mafia (Kingdom) lose if the King dies because that's how royal mafia normally works. They also lose if all Guards die. Guards can Day Talk

Standard Role PMs

King

You are the King! You win if X+1 Rebels are lynched. You lose if you are lynched. I will send you a followup PM if guards are getting day talk. If the guards get Day Talk then you will need to be careful who you lynch as the death of all guards will then mean a loss for your side.

Guard

You are one of X Guards to the Magnificent King ____. You win if X+1 Rebels are lynched. You lose if the King is lynched. Do you want to have day talk with the other guard(s)? Note you do not get to talk to them the king, just the other guards? To have this benefit you will have to accept the cost of, if all guards die, your side loses. Do you want this benefit? Majority vote will decide if you get this. A vote from the King will break the tie if their is a tie vote.

Rebel

You are one of 2(X+1) Rebels. You win when the King is lynched. You lose if X+1 Rebels are lynched. I will send you a followup PM if guards are getting day talk. If the guards are getting Day Talk then eliminating all of them can also grant you victory.
