Choice: none

X-Result is a role modifier that limits an investigative role to getting a specific amount of a single type of results. After the amount is reached, the role no longer functions.

Standard version

An X-Result role can act if it has a remaining amount of a specific type of result left. For example, a 1-Guilty Cop can perform Cop checks until they get a guilty result.

X-Result is an imprecise name, it will need to be called something related to the actual result that gates the investigative role. Actually calling the modifier X-Result will make it deplete on anything except for a No Result.

Examples of X-Result roles are:

1-Guilty Cop - Can cop until a guilty result is received.
2-Innocent Cop - Can cop until 2 innocent results are received.
1-Vanilla Role Cop - Can role cop until a vanilla result is received. (1-Negative Role Cop means the same thing)
1-PR Role Cop - Can role cop until a power role result is received. (1-Positive Role Cop means the same thing)
1-Negative Tracker - Can track until a negative result (didn't see anything) is received.
1-Positive Tracker - Can track until a positive result (at least one name) is received.
1-Negative PT Cop - Can PT cop until a negative result (has no access to PT) is received.
1-Positive PT Cop - Can PT cop until a positive result (has access to PT) is received.
1-Single Name Watcher - Can watch until a result with a single name is received.
2-Result Checker - Can check until they successfully get a result twice.
1-No Result Checker - Can check until they fail to get a result once.
2-Result Cop - Can cop until they successfully get a result twice.
1-No Result Cop - Can cop until they fail to get a result once.

This modifier can only be applied to an investigative role.

Variations

X-Hit is this modifier generalized to all roles, however it is horribly inelegant and doesn't work consistently.

Use & Balance

X-Result can be used to limit the amount of a powerful result. For example, limiting Guilty results from a Cop or single targeter results from a Watcher.}}
