Vigilante

The vigilante is a killer on the town side. Depending on the variation, they may be able to kill every night, or be limited to a certain number of times during the game. Sometimes, instead of killing during the night, the vigilante will be able to kill during the Day, thus becoming a Daytime Vigilante. Typically Vigilante killing methods do not vary significantly from Mafia ones.
It is often argued (especially by PokerFace and Pie is good) that on Night 0 vigilantes should use their night-kill ability to eliminate any players that have a history of a purposly anti-town playstyle which can hinder scum-hunting. Players with a history of ruining games in terms of fun or almost bannable offenses are also acceptable targets on night 0. If no player falls into either catagory holding fire on night 0 can be considered
