To Die For is a Micro Setup which features a Day Start and which was designed by Plotinus.

Setup

  • 2 Mafia Goons
  • 7 Bodyguards

Mechanics

  • The Mafia Goons have a factional nightkill and a factional roleblock that can be used even with one scum left alive.
  • The Mafia have daytalk
  • The bodyguards are secretly numbered 1 through 7. If more than 1 bodyguards protect the same target, the bodyguard with the lower number dies.
  • Only one person dies per night
  • The bodyguard only protects from a direct kill by the mafia. It doesn't protect from any other means of death (eliminating, somebody else using their bodyguard ability successfully). This means that if Alex protects Bob and Bob protects Carol and the mafia shoot Carol, then Bob will die. It doesn't matter that Alex protected Bob because the mafia didn't shoot Bob.
  • The mafia may self target if they want to.

Notes

Both times this setup has been run so far, it has been run with the Get a Room mechanic as well. The first time, scum didn't have a factional roleblock but that turned out to be incredibly townsided. It is more balanced with the factional roleblock.

Town won 545: Slavic Music Mafia (This version didn't have factional roleblock)

Scum won 558: Slavic Music Mafia II (This version did have factional roleblock)
