* Don't Panic! We're just in the process of moving the Mafia Scum Wiki over to the MediaWiki software (see button at bottom right of page).

    • If you'd like to help out, feel free to peruse the list of "most wanted" pages and copy those that are old, stable, or "definition"-type pages from the old wiki to here. Another option is to look at the Transwiki list, which will show all pages that have not been transferred yet as redlinks. -- Mr. Flay 16:36, 25 January 2007 (MST)
  • The MafiaScum introduction on the main page talks about "I". Who wrote this originally? We should make reference to that person or change the word. _ Mgm 01:20, 31 January 2007 (MST)
    • I agree: I've done this now. I also took out the bit about "a drunk IS" - it struck me as an in joke that was more likely to put people off and inappropriate for the front page. -Stoofer 09:45, 31 January 2007 (MST)
      • That section shouldn't really have been used in the first place; I wrote it for the original About page, long before the first wiki was made, and it made a little more sense in context. jeep was just trying to incorporate all that old stuff in the wiki, and I guess no one wanted to touch it once it was there. --WikiSysop 04:42, 10 February 2007 (MST)
  • Is the Administration section of this page still relevant/applicable -Stoofer 09:45, 31 January 2007 (MST)

Great Job

I just wanted to say you guys have compiled an excellent wiki, and it's definetely encouraged me to join the site sometime soon. 71.172.69.32 21:07, 5 July 2007 (MDT)

Help

Everytime I try to make an account, this message comes up:

Could not select Administrators

DEBUG MODE

SQL Error : 2006 MySQL server has gone away

SELECT user_email, user_lang FROM phpbb_users WHERE user_level = 1

Line : 884 File : usercp_register.php

What is going on? 71.172.69.32 21:57, 5 July 2007 (MDT)

The username is Trosk 109 by the way. I try to log in, and it says invalid information. 71.172.69.32 07:47, 6 July 2007 (MDT)
Is this in the wiki, or the forum, please? I'll pass it on... 64.126.24.12 13:07, 6 July 2007 (MDT)

Is Mith still the site admin? I clicked a link to send an email to the administrator, it sent it to him, hoping he's still there somewhere. This was only a couple of days ago, so maybe I'm just being impatient, but if that's going into a void I'd rather know sooner than later.  :) Thanks. --JoDiamonds 15:21, 6 July 2007 (MDT)

Yeah, but JEEP said he was trying something earlier today and it didn't work, so he rolled it back. Try again, guys? -- Mr. Flay 19:52, 6 July 2007 (MDT)
It's the forum. I just tried again with the name "BigTrosk109", same error happened. Tried logging in, double checked the name and password were right, it said the name was invalid. And yet, I'm listed as a user! Can someone please tell me why exactly I can't sign-up? Why am I listed as a user, but I can't log in? Or do you need more info? Thanks. 71.172.69.32 20:14, 6 July 2007 (MDT)
JEEP says you should now be active. -- Mr. Flay 22:54, 6 July 2007 (MDT)
Thanks, it worked. 71.172.69.32 09:09, 7 July 2007 (MDT)

One question

One question: if I sign-up for a game now, how long will it be until the game is done? I'm gonna be away next Sat. for a week, so will a game take more than a week? Thanks. 71.172.69.32 09:14, 7 July 2007 (MDT)
Games almost always take longer than a week, unless they go horribly wrong on mislynches. But a week is a pretty significant absence, you may want to a) ask your mod if that's okay, or b) wait to get in a game until after you come back. But if it's a Newbie Game, I can just delay your signup until your return with no trouble. -- Mr. Flay 12:05, 9 July 2007 (MDT)
Done. 71.172.69.32 14:18, 10 July 2007 (MDT)

Help 2

I am having the same problem as the person above. Username Atheous [1], this is the info I posted in another part of the wiki [2], I just saw this part today.

 == Account Problem ==
:Posting here as I can't post as a Guest on the forums. Tried clearing cookies and using different browsers and computers.
:Created this account on the 4th of July, got an e-mail telling me to wait for activation. Nothing has happened yet and newer
accounts since mine have been activated.
:Tried e-mailing mith and JEEP to no avail (spam filters?).
:This is my account (does not appear on the members list).

:Hope someone is able to help me here, if not I would appreciate it if someone could cut and paste this message here into this
 thread [3].
 :Thank you,
 :Atheous
Edit: Quite a few other people seem to be having the same problem, "sam Cullen" "samCullen" "leech" "locke" "p3nguin"
to name a few of the possibles. Maybe it is a general problem with registration.

Interesting Facts

Are Online Casino games trustworthy today?
