A Pressured player is a player who loses their ability when an elimination on one member of their faction the next day would cause them to lose the game.

Standard version

Pressured is a modifier that is applied to a role. A Pressured role does not function if voting out a member of the player's faction the next day would cause them to lose the game. For Town, Pressured roles do not work in the night before MeLo or ELo. For Mafia, Pressured roles do not work when they are the only member of their faction alive. For Serial Killer, Pressured means the role doesn't function at all.

Variations

A variant of Pressured may allow a role to function when the game is not in MeLo or ELo regardless of alignment.



Sample Role PMs

The standardized Role PM for "Pressured" describes the modifier as follows:

  • As a modifier on an active ability: Each night, if a member of your faction being eliminated the next day will not cause you to lose the game, (edit)
  • As a modifier on a passive ability: P2 if a member of your faction being eliminated the next day will not cause you to lose the game (edit)

Example (modifying an active ability)

Welcome to game! You are a Town Pressured Jailkeeper.

You have the following active ability:

  • Each night, if a member of your faction being eliminated the next day will not cause you to lose the game, you may target a player. Assuming no interference with your action, that player will be protected from kills that night, but all their actions will be blocked that night.

You win if all threats to the town are eliminated and at least one town-aligned player is alive.

Example (modifying a passive ability)

Welcome to game! You are a Pressured Bulletproof Townie.

You are protected from kills that target you if a member of your faction being eliminated the next day will not cause you to lose the game.

You have no active abilities.

You win if all threats to the town are eliminated and at least one town-aligned player is alive.
