A power role is any role with a [[night choice|night ability]].  To avoid a gross misgeneralization, a true power role will be ''powerful'' enough to influence the game simply by the results of the [[night]].
A '''power role''' is any role that is not [[Vanilla]].  This does not imply that the role is actually powerful, or even helpful - just different from the ubiquitous [[Vanilla Townie]].  


The four most common power roles are [[Cop]], [[Doctor]], [[Roleblocker]], and [[Godfather]].
These roles are further divided into [[Active Roles]] and [[Passive Roles]].
