Multi-heading (also called Double-heading or a Hydra) is when 2 or more players create an account and use it play in a mafia game as a single role.

The biggest concern about the practice, based on early discussions, is whether or not the list of players in the Hydra needs to be disclosed to the game's mod, the list mod or the players in the game. Several options have been suggested:

  • Only the list mod needs to know so that they can track the game limits of the players in the Hydra
  • The game mod has a right to know because they may have a personal blacklist or watchlist of players they do not want in their games
  • The game mod only needs to know that an account is a Hyrdra
  • All players in the game have a right to know only that an account is a Hydra
  • All players in the game have a right to know exactly who is part of any Hydras in the game
