Mini 50: Newer York Confidential Mafia was a mafiascum game played in the Little Italy forum. It lasted from August 7, 2003 until September 19, 2003 (42 days, 1 hours, 35 minutes) and featured a total of 285 posts. The Town won this game.

This game featured a reversal on traditional flavor expectation for player roles. The players who received mafia PMs were actually town and told that the other mafia group was scum, while the police force were the actual mafia. The setup is reminiscent of the film L.A. Confidential.

Newer York, a quiet town. Actually, it's never been quiet -- Newer York has always had mafia. But things haven't been this violent for a while. Recently, there's been a rush of mafia killings, so the citizens of Newer York have decided to get together, and kill their own, Until the Killings Stop

Night 0

Night 0 ended with the reveal that Tigris (Lt NiceGuy) had been killed by a single shot to the head while PolarBoy was killed by submachine gun fire.

  • Riven (Lois the Reporter) tracked Fishbulb (Captain Neighbor) and learned he went nowhere.
  • Viarostultega (Spike, Symphony Mafia Enforcer) night-killed Tigris (Lt NiceGuy)
  • The mafia night-killed PolarBoy (Captain Happy).
  • CoolBot (Jenny the Researcher) investigated Riven (Lois the Reporter) and knew that he wasn't mafia.

Night 0 lasted 1 day, 22 hours, and 10 minutes.

Day 1

Day 1 ended with the elimination of PBuG (Sticks, Symphony Mafia Bodyguard).

Both PBuG and JazzRed reveal themselves to be members of two differently names mafia groups, but still are pro-town. The town buzzes with confusion, but soon gives way to eliminating PBuG.

Night 1

Night 1 ended with the reveal that rite (Shards the theif) had been killed by a lone gunman.

  • Riven (Lois the Reporter) published a story in the newspaper (mod's opening post)
  • The mafia tried to night-kill Fishbulb (Captain Neighbor) but failed.

Night 1 lasted 17 hours, 58 minutes.

Day 2

Day 2 ended with a vote for no elimination.

FinalFear was under suspicion because of how he acted on Day 1 and he asked if there was a doc in the game. With a bandwagon on him, he claimed his role of Chief Goodman and that his ability was that of a vig. he quoted the mod to reveal this role, but mneme retroactively removed the rule so it was okay. Lots of roleclaiming happened with Riven coming forth as a reporter, Someone confirming that he is a mason with JazzRed, Night Stalker revealing that he's a vig who made the lone gunman kills, CoolBot is a researcher. With many pseudo investigators and confused mafia groups who think that they are town, the town ultimately decided to do more research and voted to no eliminate.

Night 2 ended with the reveal that CoolBot (Jenny, the Researcher) had been shot while being held down.

Day 3

Day 3 ended with the elimination of glsamm (Sargeant Friendly).

Night Stalker was suspected for the killing last night, but the real break came when Riven caught gslamm lying about his night action. With the lie exposed, the town reasoned out a few suspicions about gslamm's partners and the setup. With gslamm, FinalFear and Night Stalker being the most suspicious, the town eliminated gslamm and instructed the two "vigs" to cross kill each other.
