A Mathematician may learn how many players have had their abilities interfered with that Day/Night cycle.

Standard version

A Mathematician may learn how many players have had their abilities with interfered with that Day/Night cycle due to other players. They will not learn any specifics on how the abilities were interfered with, just how many abilities were interfered with. For example, a Mathematician may learn that 1 ability has been interfered with that cycle.

Abilities count as being interfered with if they have resolved differently than expected due to other player's roles. This can include an ability being blocked, an investigation giving incorrect information, an ability being redirected, or an action resolving with a different effect than normal.

For example, a Town Loyal Checker's ability failing due to a Roleblocker will count as that ability having been interfered with, but a Town Loyal Checker's ability failing due to targeting non-Town will not count as that ability having been interfered with.




Sample Role PMs

The standardized Role PM for "Mathematician" describes the passive ability as follows:

  • As an unmodified passive ability: You will be informed of how many abilities have been interfered with each Day/Night cycle. (edit)
  • As a passive ability with a modifier: You will be informed of how many abilities have been interfered with the nth Day/Night cycle OR on day n. (edit)
