- CamelCase is the practice of writing compound words or phrases where the words are joined without spaces, and each word is capitalized within the compound. The name comes from the uppercase "bumps" in the middle of the compound word, suggesting the humps of a camel.
Wikipedia originally used CamelCase links, but soon enabled and recommended free links, by putting square brackets ([, ]) around phrases to be linked, and a year later the automatic linking of CamelCase was disabled.
Likewise, the MafiaScum wiki originally used CamelCase (and OddMuse), and eventually transferred to a free link system. Old page names under the CamelCase system were kept as redirects.
