A hammer or "Hammah" is a vote on someone which results in the majority needed to lynch them. Once the hammer vote is placed, the game usually moves into twilight until the mod posts the death scene. The hammered person will generally be lynched regardless of subsequent unvotes; as always, exceptions exist. Some players may use a Hammer vote as a way to gambit in hopes of pulling votes off of them with a last second "Oh well, go town." or "I wasn't lying, I really was the doctor."

Some players (in particular Fritzler) particularly like being the Hammah voter.
