Gladiator
Alias:

During the day the Gladiator can choose someone. Usually done in the same manner a daykill is, he can CHALLENGE <TARGET PLAYER>. All votes are reset. Only two players are now votable, the Gladiator and his target. It is almost always one-shot.

Variations

  • Sometimes the Gladiator can choose more than one person
  • Some mods give the Gladiator a time limit as to when he can use his power, like he cannot use his power past a midway point towards the deadline. (Imagine a 14 day deadline. He could not use his power past 7 days into the Day Phase)
  • Sometimes the Gladiator's ability cannot be used in Lylo.

Use and Power

The Gladiator is an amazingly strong role and should be used sparingly or not outside Role Madness games. In the hands of a strong town player who is in good standing (or a town player that has been confirmed), it should almost always spell death for his opponent. However, the possibility is always there for the tables to be turned. As a scum role, it should be used very carefully, or with a lot of flair, depending on personal style.
