Faith Plus One is an Open setup created by DarthYoshi as a response to the April 2011 conversations in the Mafia Discussion forum regarding the Basic 12-Player open setup being broken via the Follow the Cop tactic. It is an attempt to keep both an alignment cop and a protective role in the same game without falling back on the more clichéd solutions of mafia roleblockers and macho cops.

There are four versions of the setup, created with feedback from Empking, Magua, Faraday, animorpherv1, and Herodotus. All four versions are daystart, and are not intended to be replace earlier versions. The version designation simply denotes the order in which they were created, nothing more.

The first Faith Plus One game played at MafiaScum was Open 305, which used the 1.1 version and was moderated by chkflip.

Special mechanic (all four versions): If both faith healers/doctors protect the same person on a given night, the protection is guaranteed to fail.
