Faith Plus One is an Open setup created by [[DarthYoshi]] as a response to the April 2011 conversations in the Mafia Discussion forum regarding the Basic 12-Player open setup being broken via the [[Follow the Cop]] tactic.  It is an attempt to keep both an alignment cop and a protective role in the same game without falling back on the more clichéd solutions of mafia roleblockers and macho cops.

The first Faith Plus One game played at MafiaScum was Open 305, which used the 1.1 version and was moderated by [[chkflip]].

Special mechanic (all four versions): If both faith healers/doctors protect the same person on a given night, the protection is guaranteed to fail.
