Choice: none
Notes: linked to Lynchee

The Lyncher is a third-party role whose win condition is to get a specific person (the Lynchee) lynched. If the Lynchee is lynched while the Lyncher is alive and on the Lynchee's wagon, the Lyncher wins. If the Lyncher dies first, he loses. Mods have differing policies in regard to what happens if a Lynchee is nightkilled: the Lyncher may gain the pro-Town Win Condition, may become a Survivor, may change their Lynchee to whoever made that kill, or may win as if that player had gotten lynched. This decision is made based on game balance and role mechanics.

If a Lynchee is lynched before any other faction has won, the game generally continues to determine other winners, although in very small games the Lyncher's success ends the game. If the game does continue, the lyncher exits the game with an independent victory.

Variations on Lynchees

While Lynchers are not told the alignment of their Lynchee, in practice they tend to be Town-aligned.
If there are multiple Lynchers in a game, they tend to be each others' Lynchees (that is, one Lyncher is told to hunt another Lyncher).
Town or Mafia roles may include a Lyncher Win Condition in addition to their normal one. Their Lynchees are often of a different alignment for obvious reasons. These roles are sometimes called Hunters.
