An Angel is a type of role that has been used for different purposes in different settings.
- In the Princeton Mafia ruleset, it was synonymous with the modern Cop role.
- In Dimitry Davidoff's ruleset, it was analogous to the Doctor role.
Other rulesets and commercial designs of the game have also alternated between these two.
