Hey, it's Aj writing his own mafia page.

I'm actually on the low end of experience here, I think. I started playing mafia in August of 2011 on a completely different site. The community there is really small, and I managed to draw scum for FOUR CONSECUTIVE GAMES. Meaning I was basically lynched day 1 for every game. I did, however, learn how to play as scum extremely well because I was constantly trying to wiggle my way out.

I joined Mafiascum November 10, 2012 after having been night killed in three consecutive games on my other site. It was tiring, I was dead a lot, and I wanted to play. Since then, I have had more damn trials and tribulations then I've ever had before. It might just be the new community, because my last one relied a lot more on facts than this one, or it might just be that I was unprepared for such a place.

So... I'll try to do the proper meta stuff. Overall record: 5 wins, 5 loss? I think my counting is off. If you want to send me a private message, I'll gladly correct it.

Micro 75 Bureaucracy Mafia My Role: Scum. Winners: Scum, 1 of 2 survive. Survived.

My first game on site, and it was VERY CLOSE. I was with a player from my site, Robert2424. He was very green as scum and it showed constantly. He was also inactive, so I did most of the maneuvering/work.

The whole game was based around a bunch of VTs, two of which could read TWO PAPERS. The papers had my name and Maverik_Alpha's name, and were given initially to Jake from Statefarm and Maestro, both who COULDN'T read them, but could pass them at night. My name was not revealed until late day 2, but it helped that I was constantly pushing AGAINST lynching it because I figured Robert was on the second page from a Jake softclaim.

Noticeable play: Jake from Statefarm (was going to win the game unless killed. Played fantastically even though the town was sold on his suspicion, something completely independent of any mafia maneuvering). Pirate Mollie (ended up in lylo with qwints and myself. Ended it by believing me. Played strong through every day but the last one.) Nachomamma (Nacho forced a nightkill on a player who was going to be policy lynched. His claim almost gave me a heart attack, and his suspicions also almost got me killed).

Newbie 1309: Never say never My Role: VT. Winners: Scum, 1 of 2 survive. Lynched Day 4.

I replaced in somewhere near the middle of day 1. Other replacements this day were Malakittens, Majiffy, D3x and KMD. This game wasn't a newbie game for long, as we were left with only two beginners. JasonWazza fell under a bit of suspicion day 1, but never came under fire because a Earlder vs Fuzzy wagon was going.

The game seemed to be a town lock day 2, when JasonWazza again came under pressure and was eventually lynched. Due to an erratic vote by Fuzzybutternut, Malakittens unvoted and convinced me she was scum. I expressed my worries the next day, but Fuzzy started getting nervous and claimed that a probtown D3x was most likely scum. Mollie gambited a vote on D3x to force him to L-2, a vote Fuzzy immediately followed. This convinced Mollie and D3x that Fuzzy was scum, even as I was tunneling Malakittens, trying to desperately put something on her. She had started returning fire on me, but turned and hammered Fuzzy.

Over night, D3x was the sure NK, and Mollie, Mala and I ended up in a lylo. Mollie, having already been in a lylo with me (see above) was naturally nervous and didn't want to lose to me twice. I dragged the lylo out (which was radically different from the few hours of lylo in the last game) to try and counter this thought. Unfortunately, I overstepped how long, and Mollie voted for me, letting Mala quick hammer out.

Noticeable play: D3x (saved a Teodor Ant slot that was going to be PL'd. Also became the confirmed town of the game). Malakittens (hey, even with the one glaring mistake, I never got to express just how damn flawless every other posts of hers were. If not for that one post, I would've had Mollie as the last scum for the last two days. She also won it.) Mollie and Myself. (Eventually, we'll get it together and win some games. We did manage to make progress, having stopped tunneling each other after d1 suspicions.)

Micro 81 Stratego Mafia Role: Lvl 3 Doctor. Winners: Scum, 2 of 2 survive. Lynched Day 1.

I don't even know what happened here after d1. It was a bad game and I tried to ignore it. Charter kept getting me angry and I was tunneling him, thinking he was scum. One of the few times I've ever been flustered badly by pressure. Anyways, when I was at L-1, I stupidly didn't full claim doc, only a subdivision that said I could defuse bombs (obviously, 3 in stratego...). Well, turns out there WAS no bombs. I also could've survived by the other doc, but I had no reason to believe they were there.

So yeah. Bad game, and all I know is rolfcopter and syndromeofatown won.

Micro 90 Tree Sump, Bonsai edition Role: VT. Winner: Scum, 2 of 2 survived. Endgamed.

Bonsai tree stumping game. I replaced in late day 1. Was obsessed with Leviathan sheeping Medhi2277 so closely and blatantly. A lot of AtE before I arrived, and some misdirection. Scum-slimer was seen as VI for the majority and we let it slip because Slimer always is that way. Well, he turned scum... was pretty stupid on our part not to policy lynch. Kdub was the other scum and was pretty town to most of us.

Also, only one stumped and then went away never to post again. Someone hammered Klick before he could ever stump. That would've been another good town to have input on. Especially because of 8 players, was a rather tough game.

Noticeable (good) play: Medhi2277 (was the confirmed town for a long while. Unfortunately, we never got a scum lynch) Kdubs (basically kept his team out of pressure. Slimer wasn't going to do that...)

You could be anyone mafia Role: David Beckham, VT. Winner: Scum, 2 of 4 survive. Killed night 3.

This game can be a lesson to ANYONE suggesting mass claim day 1: LYNCH THEIR SORRY ASS. AuntieJ claimed ROLE COP day 1, under pressure, suggested mass claim, to which eventually everyone believed, outed a LD, VIG and neighborizer (though, scum neighbor anyways). Maybe some other minor role. Well guess what? Vig dies night 1. Luckily, cop stayed under cover, copped me and claimed when at L-1.

Basically the game went like this: Town got into a tight situation IMMEDIATELY, consecutive town lynches. Xelath did manage to extend the game one day by vigging the godfather. But it really didn't matter, our doc couldn't protect cleared townies, and hammered off a townie that basically was about to clear himself. Thanks Lurker.

But props where it's due... They pulled off the win, didn't they? Auntie J SOMEHOW managed to survive the whole game, even after constant pressure in the beginning.

Notable play: Auntie J (Survives early game pressure, calls for mass claim, DICTATES MASS CLAIM, survives to end game, clears scum) Yates (Scum neighborizer. Came in to replace inactive Inte, who I had as scum for his few posts being bad. Yates however swung that so quickly to the town list and never looked back. In all reality, the scum would've come down to one player left had he not replaced in.) Xelath (okay, probably the only town who deserves much credit for this game. Was the town backup turned vig, came in and was under fire ALL game. With some other townies' help, managed to survive and made an almost-clutch play by killing Devotress, who most people were starting to accept as town. He survived under a TON of pressure)

Mini 1414 Mafia and Werewolves Role: Town Seer. Winner: Town. Night killed by werewolf fraction night 1.

I replaced in this game again. Immediately, I tagged Werewolf-Hiraki as scum and caused the mafia to kill him over night. Unfortunately, the werewolves caught my breadcrumbing cop and killed me over night. This is really unfortunate because if you check the QT, I nailed the remaining three scum flawlessly day 2 and the game never would've gone to lylo. Still, my suspicion also helped to get WTsnacks under pressure the next day. I forget how he died, but scum started dropping until it was just JasonWazza. He played well, but JacobSavage and YOLO got into a lylo where Yolo claimed cop who could find mafia only. Jason countered saying it wasn't possible with a seer, but Jacob believed the balance issue because seer generally cops only Werewolves. Even with YOLO being the most confirmed town for multiple days, had he not had that claim, Jason probably could've won.

This is probably my best town game on this site yet, even better than the later Inheritance game.

Notable Players: JasonWazza (last werewolf standing, pushed all the way to lylo, lost on a balance claim where VT didn't cut it. Not many town suspected him) YOLO (Most town player, even if mislead. Did play the gambit nicely to draw Jason out and attack him, leaving Jacob to decide against a PR claim and VT claim. Had it been VT v VT claim, it would've been hard for Yolo to depict on roles alone, where it was obvious once it was Jason vs YOLO). JacobSavage (One of the few games I've seen him do really well, he turned on his game right when it was needed most.)

NY 161 Overly Posh Mafia Role: VT. Winner: Scum, 3 of 5 survive. End gamed.

This game... is painful. It was a fantastically fun game, and I learned a lot about gambits from many different players. I won't say much, but if you're looking for good town play, this is not where to find it. The two top posters where mafia, by far. The mafia honestly had us by the balls and they twisted as hard as the could until we sang soprano.

Congrats to Uberninja, I am Innocent, the two MVPs of this game. Let me explain: IaI was a traitor, who MattP fakeclaimed gunsmith on claiming IaI had a gun. IaI DOESN'T RESPOND VIG, rather claims COP! Next, he doesn't claim clearing a scum partner (thus signaling traitor to them that they knew they had) but rather an actual innocent, confusing the hell out of the scum and forcing the kill ANYWAYS. Next, he claims a guilty on MattP the next day, and he was lynched immediately. Then, under pressure from the game, his buddies rescue him with a formulated redirector possibility and THEY LYNCH TOWN ACTIONDAN. Incredible. It really split the town, and from there the town might've been able to determine scum. IF NOT FOR AP, the confirmed town, being on the AD wagon and then getting NK'd. We lynched IaI, but it was too late. UN gained towncred, Majiffy and Reverend were at each other's throats, and then scum picked Penguin_Alien as their lynch target, which for some reason was agrreable with everyone.

Notable play: UberNinja I am Innocent And the whole scum team.

Micro 131 The Inheritance Cycle Role: Town Blacksmith. Winner: Town, flawless. Survived.

This game is currently up for a scummy, deservedly so. After some quick issues day 1, where town went after town for a while, the town attacking each other (Mrs Marangal and I) stopped tunneling and figured the other as town. The town lynched off scum day 1, and then Pirate_Mollie made a clutch play and role blocked Nachomamma8, the last scum. After a quick power role outing (I outed to claim Violet was innocent, since she was under fire and I figured we could win day 2 when no kill showed. P_M soon outed RB on Nachomamma), we won the game.

Believe it or not, the game was scum balanced. We just never let the scum claim their power roles before hammering.

Notable Players: Pirate_Mollie. (Saved the game flawlessly with her Role block and tell on Nacho to be scum). The whole town. Wonderful, wonderful game. Hope for that scummy, guys :)

Khan's Wacky Xylbot Mafia Role: VT. Winner: Town. Vig killed Night 3 (reasons below)

I replaced in to a null-at-best spot, pressured into scum. A missed vote saved me from being lynched day 1. I would work my way back over the next two days to establish town points, and eventually helped lynch one of the fractions. (Another mafia v werewolf game...). I was policy poisoned day 3 because there was no way the scum could win because we had enough confirmed town by then. We started to eliminate anyone unproven, and I was one of them. I was lucky to survive so long.

Realistically, Serrapaladin played a wonderful game, coming in as a resurectioner replacement turned double voter. He claimed elivs townie (Apparently flavor at death) and really messed with wind-up, who was already dealing with a supersaint Leafsnail. Wind-up has an excellent monologue in his scum qt, it was hilarious. While this game got to lylo, it was never really lylo, town had the game won long before.

Notable players: Leafsnail (played confirmed town quietly for a while, helped lynch shos-scum). Serrapaladin (His fake-claim and then own hammering of Wind-up secured the game.) Kthxbye (a fine game for him, even after a rocky start. Eventually took a confirmed-town stance and helped our end-game succeed. He also killed scum-TheMiniLibrarian.)

/in-vitational 15 Role: 2-day vig Mason (with T-bone). Winner: Town, Lyncher. Survived.

I believe this was almost a role-madness game.

Day 1 started rocky. I am not a really good large game player (came from a small community) and got backed into a corner because I was simply overwhelmed. T-bone saved my ass with a good timed claim, and we coasted confirmed town the rest of the game. The mafia was overly-paranoid and double bussed out Traceylyn day 1. I caught Jal on the bus and shot her that night. Eventually, Mastin2 was caught (Day 4) and lynched.

NobodySpecial also got a lynch out of Maestro by claiming JOAT invesigation on basically confirmed-town (from claim) maestro. That fulfilled his win condition.

Notable players: T-bone (saved my ass, was my partner in possible-crime [he realized we were actually 3rd party players fooling everyone including ourselves] and overall helped me through this game. Also helped hold the game together when needed.) Jake From statefarm (another confirmed-town game for him. Played strong, kept the game active by himself. NobodySpecial (Nice getting confirmed town lynched for victory. Masons didn't fall for it, but we couldn't get around to saying something before he did it.)
