===Base Mechanics===
Samus' kills are only effective based on time in game.
*N1 - GF can be killed. Metroids are stopped from their NK. Ing require one less vote to lynch. Phazon Has no effect. If Dark Samus or X is targeted, Samus' becomes corrupted.
*N2 - Metroids can now be frozen. Ing can be killed. Phazon is still unaffected and Dark Samus will corrupt. X can now be frozen.
*N3 - Metroids and Ing will now be killed silently. Phazon can now be frozen. X will be destroyed.
*N4 - Phazon can now be killed.
If Samus is targeted to be killed at any point. Adam Malokovich will place himself in the firing line to protect Samus and will silently over-ride any lynch attempt on Samus.
Adam Malokovich WILL NOT be told of his role.
If Samus is targeted by Dark Samus or X at any point in the game during the night phase, she will become corrupted unless a Class 3 Doctor protects her.
Chozo are unlynchable and their "sanity" is based on their age in Cycles. 10-110 are Naive. 111-200 are sane. 200+ are Paranoid.
Age in Cycles will be revealed on death.
Special Ops are doctors and their effectiveness is based on their class. Class 1 are Weak, Class 2 are CPR, Class 3 are normal and Class 4 are JailKeepers, again their class will not be revealed until death.
The Leader of each mafia has a unique ability to identify themselves. They also decide ultimately who to kill at night.
X is very unique character in this setup. They have Watcher/Tracker 2-in-1 ability, They have a NK option, they are Survivors, can corrupt Samus, they are immune to kills from the Ing and from Phazon. Metroids can NK them at any point and Samus and Vig them later in the game.
Because of Bastarding, there is a VERY small chance of a Vanilla Townie role being issued. If you want to use this without Bastarding I have provided a VT PM anyway.

You are the Hunter, known through the Galactic Federation Territories as a saviour and with a bounty worth enough to a space-pirate to guarantee him promotion to the highest level. You full range of capabilities outstrip your rivals in every possible way, you can even integrate them into your power suit once you get the basic techs...
However, as usual when you go somewhere new something happens to disable everything... this time it was a simple EMP field...
Your abilities will recover with time however.
You start N1 with nothing more than your Paralyser. Fortunately it can stop Metroids in their tracks and weakens the Ing to lynches.
N2 sees you recover some of your Ice Beam functionality. Your will be able to freeze Metroids and eliminate Ing without many problems.
N3 you recover your Missiles and Ice Missiles, Metroids and Ing are easily killed and Corrupt Pirates don't stand much chance either. X is smart enough to keep clear if you fire an Ice Missile at it...
N4 sees you recover you full capabilities. Nothing can stand in your path now.
Be warned, Samus, If you come up against Dark Samus or X before the right time, or if your caught unaware, you will be corrupted.
If the one who corrupts you dies you take their place silently and will receive your new Role PM and alignment. You can be saved if a Class 3 doctor protects you before you become fully corrupted.

The wisest and most advanced race in the universe. You saved Samus from the Space-Pirates, trained her and gave her her power suit. In your travels across the universe you gained knowledge, and in turn aided planets and other life-forms to true prosperity. Through all this you became blessed with the ability to see exactly what's in front of you, friend, or foe?
Once per night you may look into a persons soul to determine if they're Scum or Not-Scum.
=====Galactic Federation Troopers (VT)=====
You are Marine (random number) Callsign (username) of the Galactic Federation Marine Corps. You have been called to the GFS Transporter MotherBird as they have been attacked. You've been sent in with your standard issue Rifle and some Science Team members for medical assistance.
Unfortunately, the standard rifles aren't known to be ammo-friendly, so you must conserve ammo and come to an agreement on who must be shot each day, its a democracy so you must Vote on it.
=====Galactic Federation Science Team=====
You are part of the science team research biowepaons on GFS Transporter MotherBird. The various bioforms include Metroids, Phazon based life and some Ing. Your orders are to protect the Chozo Ghosts, Samus and any GF troops on board while covering up any information about the bioweapon reasearch.
You can protect one person per night.
=====Chozo Ghost=====
The GFS Transporter MotherBird is in orbit above Decitia 3, a one of many former Chozo strongholds. The presence of Phazon, Metroids, X and Ing have awoken your spirit. You appear on-board the GFS MotherBird in the central room just as everyone gathers. Your latent abilities in life are ready to server you once again in spirit and grant you the power to sift friend from foe. However, this drains your already unstable existence and you are limit to use it once per night.

These are set-ups I have used and are considering for future games.

It may seem highly unbalanced, that's because it is; however, I consider it the "expert" difficulty level of mafia.

Enhanced Ruleset

  1. NO deadline extensions are allowed.
  2. Vigilante can not kill D1.
  3. Punishment: In this game you will become a Suicidal Townie

Role Overview

Pro-town

Vanilla Townie - Exactly what's on the tin.
Bullet-proof Townie - Immune to Vigilante kills.
Cop - Investigates one person per night.
Doctor - Protects one person per night from the vigilante for 1 day/night.
Vigilante - Can kill one person per day/night at any point via a message to the moderator. A message will be posted upon receipt stating who was targeted and if it was successful or not.

Pro-Mafia

Psychotic Killer - The one man mafia has 2 additional abilities to help him survive, he can use only one of either Framer or Bulletproof. If bulletproof is used it lasts through the day as well.

Vanilla Townie

You are the towns' flavour of the month, Vanilla.

All you have are your suspicions and your vote. Use them well.

Bullet-proof Townie

You were one of the first in line at the local store when it became known there was a killer in your midst. You managed to get yourself a bullet-proof vest, this should do the job in defending you against any mad vigilantes that turn up to dish out some street justice.

Cop

You got the short straw back at the office and got sent out to investigate the recent killing out here despite being a rookie... Fortunately, your not without your iBerry and have full access to the police and local news databases... Unfortunately, you forgot your charger, you figure if you leave it to one investigation per night you should be fine.

Doctor

There's a killer on the loose and where there's a killer there's people needing help. Unfortunately you only brought supplies to treat gun-shot wounds, not crazy, mad, chainsaw wielding, axe-throwing nut-cases. You can't be everywhere at once and usually end up following the same person for 24 hours (1 game day and night).

You may send a PM at any time stating who you wish to protect.

Vigilante

There's a killer amongst us and you feel that it's your duty to pull out your trust .357 magnum and kill the murdering scum before he gets anyone else. You know if you go mad people will suspect you, kill you then just go on as if its job done; which helps no-one. So you decide to load a single bullet everyday so your not liable to go mad and draw attention to yourself.

You can send the PM at any time.

Psychotic-Killer

Your one sandwich short a picnic, and slightly crazy to boot. For some reason your determined everyone in this sleepy little village is out to get you, so you decide to pick them off one by one until they're all dead. While being not completely there upstairs, your smart enough to know you can't take them all in one night and more than one is just asking for it. You also have the smarts to plant evidence and wear a bullet-proof vest... but not smart enough to do both in the same night..

You have a nightkill, and the ability to frame someone or become bullet-proof for 1 day and one night.
