The friendly neighbor is a confirmed town role.  Should a mafia member get lynched, their previous neighbor is confirmed town.  Pending how the game plays, there may be 2 confirmed townies in play at once.  This and the use of neighbor threads are the town's main weapons outside the daily condemnations.

Both of these should increase towns odds of winning in an otherwise mostly mountainous setup.  And day 1 play becomes more interesting as claiming day 1 vs not claiming day 1 should be a more balanced mechanic.
