Freudian slips are things spoken (or typographed, if you want to be literal) unintentionally, characteristically of a decietful nature.

Example: I meant to thank my father for passing me the salt, but instead all I did was scream, "YOU FUCKED UP MY ENTIRE LIFE!"

Freudian slips indicate a thought process which is contrary, either objectively or ostensibly, to the kayfabe of the player.

Freudian slips are one way to catch scum, but sometimes townies just mess up, so be wary of the trap of over-assumptions.
