Vengeful Gambit

In the Vengeful Gambit, a Vengeful Townie who survives to three-player LyLo will deliberately play scummily in order to draw the vote of one of the other players. If the other player quickhammers, they are essentially claiming scum; otherwise, the Vengeful Townie will continue to play scummily until the other player (who at this point is more than likely Town-aligned) hammers. Now lynched, the Vengeful Townie will shoot the good-as-outed scum player for the Town win.

This is by far the most acceptable circumstance to play Vengeful Townie with the intention of actually using your shot.

While this has been done a few times successfully, the rarity of the Vengeful Townie role makes it unlikely that the scum player will see this gambit coming.
