There are three new roles, Melancholic, Deeply Melancholic, and Suicidal. One villager starts out the game as Melancholy.

New roles

Melancholic, Deeply Melancholic, and Suicidal players have no special abilities.

At the outset of the game, it is destined that on some random even-numbered day, either at the beginning of the game, or on Day 3, 6, 9, or 12, the Melancholic player will become Suicidal. On the day when he is two-thirds of the way to this point, he will become Deeply Melancholic.

A Melancholic or Deeply Melancholic player has the same win condition as a regular villager.

A Suicidal player's win condition changes, so that he only wins when either:

  1. His faction loses; or
  2. He gets killed by any means (lynching, gunshot, or night kill).

Otherwise, the Suicidal player loses.
