A Top of Page Votecount is a vote count placed at the top of a page.

Most of the time, this refers to the practice of the moderator editing a current vote count into the first post of each page. This is not a particularly favored practice, as it is not as convenient as advertised.

However, a moderator serendipitously placing a vote count at the top of a page is considered quite awesome, as this makes it highly visible at the time it is relevant.
