I joined the site on September 20th, 2008 and have participated to some degree ever since, playing in numerous games, finishing in a considerably lesser amount. However, I am working on not flaking and haven't flaked in a game for quite some time. I'd like to think I'm a decent player
Modding History
I have, to date, modded quite a few games. My first was Open 135: Polygamist Mafia which ended up failing due to me giving a replacement the wrong role PM, confirming a number of town players. The game was then restarted as the aptly named Open 145: Polygamist Mafia 2. Town won this game. This was my first fully modded game. I then proceeded to mod a Mini Theme, Mini Theme 833: Empire at War Mafia, based on the original Star Wars movie. The game was a mild success though some players criticized the use of the force-lynch ability given to the scum, which gave them the win.
During this game, I also ended up modding a game that I was back-up mod for, Mafia 97. I took over modding during Night 1 and managed to get the game up and running somewhat smoothly. My only regret was letting Kise replace back in...that was a sort of mistake. Ah well. Scum won this game
After this, I had two games who failed utterly. Newbie 861 was the most abject failure due to it getting abandoned completely. This is due to some major real life issues involving a lack of computer access, period, and some serious schoolwork. So, Mafiascum got dropped from my radar for a while. I apologize profusely to the players involved and the list mod, Vel-Rahn Koon.
My second failure was another Large Normal, this time of my own design. Mafia 104 ended up abandoned during this same time period but I had a backup mod, Xylthixlm, and his backup mod, SpyreX, who ended up taking over the game at various points. This game had waaaay too much flavor for a Normal along with some questionable mechanics that got me some serious heat in MD.
After disappearing, I reappeared and decided to try my hand at modding again. This turned into my greatest modding victory, a masterpiece called The Mars Volta Mafia which was a great success. It only needed three replacements, which I found easily, and it was great fun for everyone involved. I also had a great backup mod, Percy, who took over while I was gone due to V/LA. He's pretty kickass, FYI. Town ended up winning.
After the Mars Volta Mafia, I have decided to commit myself to a mission: games that combine complicated, mostly no-vanilla setups along with mechanics that favor scumhunting to create games that generate interest in both phases. My upcoming game, The World Ends With You, will hopefully involve such mechanics.

1. I am the Mod. Mod rhymes with God. Therefore, in this game, I am God. Deal with it. If you have a problem or a question, PM me or use bold text in this format: Mod: Blablabla I am a kind god, luckily for you.
1. In game-related matters, my word is final. Conversely, I am always amendable to suggestion provided it is respectful. If you have a problem or a question, PM me or use bold text in this format: Mod: Blablabla and I will try to respond swiftly.

Ethics

1. In game-related matters, my word is final. Conversely, I am always amendable to suggestion provided it is respectful. If you have a problem or a question, PM me or use bold text in this format: Mod: Blablabla and I will try to respond swiftly.

2. Be decent to each other in accordance with site rules and also general human decency. I take this pretty seriously; if there are violations I don't know about, please PM me and I will to rectify the situation through replacement (hopefully) or modkill.

3. Exploiting loopholes in the rules in a way that violates either the spirit of the rules or the game will be dealt with harshly (probably modkill but it depends).

4. No cryptography or invisible text. Breadcrumbs are allowed but not any encoded bullshit; anything posted must be generally accessible to all.

5. No editing or deleting your posts for ANY reason as a player in the game.

6. Roles triumph rules. If there is a conflict between the rules and the role, the role wins. This will be clarified as such in the role PM.

7. Do not communicate about the game outside of this thread or any other permitted channels explicitly detailed in a role PM.

8. When you're dead, you stay dead. No "bah" post. Nothing. If you are lynched, you may continue to post during twilight, but not after. If you are NK'd, you cannot post at all the day after.

9. If you are modkilled, you lose the game if your conduct was the reason for the modkill.

10. Indigo is my color. Don't use it.

11. Any of the rules in all the game are fit to be changed. More rules may be added and rules may be removed. I will inform the town if this happens.

Gameplay

1. All votes and unvotes should be bolded and use this format: Vote: Whoever, Unvote: Whoever.

2. Any option for the town requires a majority of votes. The majority will be stated in every votecount but will generally be defined as (n/2 + 1) with even numbers and (n/2 + .5) with odd numbers.

3. Players can vote to no lynch. If enough no lynch votes are compiled such that it is impossible for a lynch to occur, no action will be taken(aka no lynch).

4. If a majority is not reached by the specified deadline, no lynch will occur.

Deadlines and Prods

1. Ten days from the official beginning of the day is the default deadline for each day with flexibility based on the need for replacements and potential requests for more time.

2. If there is an excess of time after the lynch occurs for deadline, that time will be added on to the next day. This does not apply to extended flaking deadline extensions.

3. If you feel the need to replace out of my game for whatever reason, please tell me. Simply flaking out is bad for my view of you and may result in future banishment from my games. If you can find a replacement for yourself, that would also be nice.

4. Night will last 48 hours after the day ends.

5. A prod will go out if the player is inactive for 24 hours or more without notifying the mod of V/LA or other issues.

6. A player can be prodded three times before being replaced.

7. If the about-to-be-prodded player makes a post before he is actually prodded even though he is in the prod range, he will dodge that prod and it will not be counted.

8. I will prod on request though this may or may not count on their prod count, depending.
