The Cute Fuzzy Kitten Defense is an unlikely claim designed to create sympathy for a scum player who is under heavy pressure and the probable lynch.
- The claim may defy game balance.
- The claim may not match up with Night actions.
- The claim may be simply absurd in relation to the flavor of the game.
If successful, the rest of the players may immediately drop their suspicion of you on the grounds that no self-preserving scum would make such a ludicrous claim.
If unsuccessful, if nothing else the claim will probably amuse many of the other players, which to some is its own reward.
Note that some moderators will include unlikely roles in their setup, validating this gambit.
History
The gambit is called "Cute Fuzzy Kitten Defense" due to this post by the page creator; however, there are many more such claims.
