Some roles are allowed to communicate with other players in their [[faction]] in the game (usually but not always during the [[Night]] phase). Other roles may enable the player to make a secret choice by PMing the [[Game Moderator]].
These are used to send role-related [[Night Choices]] in to the moderator, and (if the moderator does not set up a specialized chat thread) players who are specifically told they can speak to each other can use these for that purpose as well.
 
Players are in general not allowed to PM each other unless otherwise told they can.
