I assume that you're not here by mistake, so you probably want to learn a thing or two about me, right?

Let's see...

I have played many games of forum Mafia before on a different site. Despite my experience, it's been almost a year since then and I don't know how good (or bad) I am. The game intrigues me on a psychological level and I think that's evident in how I approach it.

I hold the belief that site meta is an illusion. Or rather, a construct. I never yielded to one before and I don't think I ever will.

I believe that many players forget a basic principle of the game: there are no townie/scummy words or actions. There are only two things that separate Town and scum: wincon and information.

The most important thing to look for when reading someone's post is intent. Ask yourself: "Why would they (not) post this as either alignment?". Understand the person behind the role.

Every person is different in some way. There is no such thing as a tell that applies to all people. No Townie plays scummy, and no scum plays towny. Labels like these hinder understanding someone. If you read them wrong, it might be your fault for not trying to understand them.

Last but not least, I do not believe that objectitivity can exist in a game that involves the human mind.

Mewbie 1477	1-Shot Bulletproof	Town victory on Day 3 (Survived)	An unforgettable first game. I met Tricks, a very interesting player who started playing on the site I came from after I retired. This game was a beautiful learning experience. I fucked up with an unnecessary claim on D2 that eventually outed our Tracker. With some luck and some quality play from Nacho, a victory came when time was running out on D3. My scumhunting went better than I expected and this game was a wonderful opportunity for me to get familiar with my strengths and weaknesses.
Newbie 1490	Town Doctor	Town victory on Day 2 (Killed N1)	An intense game. I don't like having power roles because I don't like to worry about the night phase. Day 1 had so much content and even a modkill on Tricks, who replaced into a slot I was scumreading and in the end was right about. Before D1 twilight was over, the remaining scum caught my attention and I made that known but got killed in the night. Fortunately, the rest of Town gave us the victory (while I was doubting my scumread in the dead QT and thought it was a mislynch. xD)
Open 552	Mafia Goon	Town victory on Day 4 (Modkilled D2)	First game as scum. A disaster, but it could have been so much worse. I managed to have fun as scum for the first time ever by using the feeling of helplessness as an "anchor" to the Town mentality, but it came to me too late. An emotional meltdown due to external factors resulted in my first (and hopefully only!) modkill in Mafia. We lost fair and square and I learned a lot, so it leaves me with a bittersweet feeling. I'm determined to do better next time!
Newbie 1494	Town Tracker	Town victory on Day 2 (Survived)	Third game as Town and still no VT. xD I replaced into this one and got the chance to play with Nacho again, which is always fun, as well as a few other people I've seen around and have wanted to play with! Scumhunting went great and a gambit of mine at the start of D2 helped me get a great read on BC and work from there towards finishing the game. Squirrel's an intriguing player, her scum game is something I could learn from. I had a lot of fun in this one!

Moonlight is one of the best town players I've seen, but also possibly the worst scum player. Always good to play with. - randomidget
