Game History

1. Newbie 746

Players: 9

Alignment: Town

Role: Doctor

Outcome: Mafia win, D4

Personal fate: Lynched D4

Comments: This was quite a frustrating one. The three remaining townies (mykonian, Fishy and myself) were a bit lost when we got into lylo on D3 after two exceedingly bad townies had got themselves lynched very easily. We managed to lynch the first scum but Aldus had already fakeclaimed cop and convinced the others to lynch me on D4 to win it for mafia, at which point I obviously knew that he was scum but couldn't do much about it apart from vote for him.

2. Open 141

Players: 7

Setup: Bird 7P

Alignment: Town

Role: Vanilla Townie

Outcome: Town win, D2

Personal fate: Survived to endgame

Comments: Definitely my best performance so far, and a testament to the usefulness of meta. Initially both Empking and Data really bothered me with their playstyles of saying very little. However, once I read some of their past games I decided that Empking was playing more like his pro-town self whereas Data was simply avoiding saying anything of any value. I also noticed that ekiM, who turned out to be Data's partner, was taking a different approach to the two players, pushing for an Empking lynch whilst trying to encourage Data to participate. At that point, they each had 2 votes on them so my vote on Data forced ekiM into hammering and hoping he would NK the cop. He missed and gave himself up on D2, unfortunately before I had the chance to make my case on him.

3. Newbie 779

Players: 9

Alignment: Town

Role: Vanilla Townie

Outcome: Town win, D3

Personal fate: Survived to endgame

Comments: My suspicions were mostly off in this one. Mastin replaced in for the scummy Bladewing Vorox, who I had misread as simply being a bad town player. Another player, wake4me4life, replaced in and played in an incredibly bad fashion, placing an immediate vote without justification and then switching her vote to me once I called her on it. She got lynched, flipped town and then Mastin proceeded to lurk for the whole of D2 until we eventually lynched him. His partner, FF7 Kotrt, was an obvious choice on D3 and quickly gave himself up. I probably dragged this one out by pushing the lynch on wake so the only part of my play that I really liked was picking out Taellan/FF7's typical newbie scum style fairly early on. Major credit must go to Toxic Buffalo for working very hard and keeping this game going with a lot of excellent analysis.

4. Mini 796 - Memento Mafia

Players: 12

Setup: 3 scum, 1 SK, 8 townies

Alignment: Mafia

Role: Goon

Outcome: Mod abandoned, D4

Personal fate: Survived to end

Comments: An interesting concept that ended up being quite a slow game. Each player could only have one post with 200 words in, so that post had to be edited every time a player wanted to say something new. At the end of each day all the posts would be deleted so players had to make a new one for the new day. The game started out very well for my scumteam of Archon, sekinj and myself. The slow nature of the game meant the town ended up no lynching on D1, then the vig took out the player we'd attempted to get lynched, we killed another townie and the SK took out the doctor. A no lynch occurred again on D2 but due to V/LA, neither I nor one of my partners was unable to get involved in the night actions. Our replacement partner attempted to kill the SK, failed due to NK immunity and got vig killed. After this the game dragged a great deal. My other mafia partner got lynched on D3 but was no longer really playing at this point. Another player was absent for the last month of the game and eventually the mod disappeared too, leaving 4 townies, the SK and myself. I was quite disappointed that this ended as I was interested to see how this endgame situation turned out. At the same time, it wouldn't have been a greatly impressive victory due to the excessive player absence and the very slow pace.

5. Mini 819 - WWF Royal Rumble Mafia

Players: 12

Setup: BaM ruleset, two 2-man scumteams, two mason 'tag teams', two avengers

Alignment: Mafia

Role: Goon

Outcome: Mafia win, D4

Personal fate: Survived to end

Comments: Definitely the most fun I've had so far (and not just because we won!). The wrestling theme and the BaM ruleset made this fast paced and very entertaining to play. I was under suspicion on D1 but eventually Archon got lynched instead, surprisingly flipping scum and revealing to us that there were two scumteams. I then managed to ride out most of D2 arguing with Fabian before an incredibly fast hambargarz lynch went through. My partner Sotty got NKed by the remaining member of the other scumteam, DDD, so it was left with us two opposing scum and four townies on D3. After going through massclaim, I knew that Kreriov had lied about his claim because he claimed he had blocked Sotty on N2, when Sotty had thrown Spyrex out of the ring. I pushed for a lynch on him on the grounds that his choice of targets didn't add up, then realised as DDD hopped onto the lynch that he was scum, at which point it was too late to change my mind and go for him. However, some luck came our way when Kreriov, who was actually an avenger, got fed up with don_johnson's antics and used his revenge kill to take him out - only to find that DJ was also an avenger, using his revenge kill to take out DDD! I was left with two townies so I nightkilled Fabian and took out massive with a low blow and the Macho King's sceptre for my first scum win. Awesome stuff, and major credit to Porkens for modding such a fun game.

6. Newbie 793

Players: 9

Alignment: Mafia

Role: Goon

Outcome: Mafia win, D3

Personal fate: Survived to end (replaced in on D3)

Comments: I replaced into this game on D3 in LYLO as a mafia goon. There had been a lot of replacements, which had hurt the town quite a lot and the role I replaced into hadn't posted much at all, meaning I wasn't under much suspicion as I replaced in. Aryxm had been very cautious throughout the game so I went on the attack, arguing that she was cautious scum with either Shotty or my scumbuddy, Nikanor. At that point, everyone was arguing that Aryxm was scum and Shotty started to change his mind and work out it was me/Nikanor, but Kitty put her vote on Aryxm before he posted his case and Nik hammered in a flash. A fun situation to replace into but not something I feel was entirely fair on the town!
