Name's Kison. I first heard about Mafia over on a site I've frequented since 2001, in which a Mafia game was hosted late in 2006/early 2007. Unfortunately, no game succeeded it(until I hosted a sequence months later), and I was forced to find a site if I wanted to take part. I found a few sites with queues that, as I could see from the gaps between players joining games, are probably still going right now. Then late one night an apocalyptic storm produced crashing thunder and pouring rain outside my home. It was in this moment that I found found the God that is Mafiascum. I joined around the same time as Battle Mage, Shanba, Scotmany, theopor_COD, Raging Rabbit, and Dragons of Summer. None of the newbies in my first game still visit the site. I'm saddened by this.

Despite my tendency to lurk massively at random points during random games, I have never been replaced. A major cause of my lurking is that I love the analytical aspect of this game, strategies, rundowns, and scenarios. These are devoured in the earlier parts of the games. I also blame my Vanilla Townie curse to a lesser extent.

Some people think I'm crazy, and probably rightfully so.

  • Best.Role.Ever. PBuG and I were a mason pair with the ability to either deliver spells/items during the night, or fly up on a broom to see who moved around during the night. PBuG eventually went MIA, meaning I had to do a lot of this on my own till I wound up dead. Successor of PBuG did a pretty good job of finishing things up. Very confusing game as well.

  • This role was weird. I had to check people's clothing, and was told ahead of time the clothing of one Town aligned player. This player was told about me, as well. So we were like a weird Mason pair that had to find one another, yet I died very quickly so never put this to use.

  • After almost two weeks of waiting, I'm giving up on Battle Mage's apparent "alternate ending." I was scum. Oman bailed us out of some crap early on, leaving Setael and I in a fairly decent position. BUSed Setael hardcore from her grand entry into the game. Ironically, later in the game, this caused problems for me because I was accused of being part of the opposing scum group(ALWAYS happens to me). Second to last day I was virtually lynched, saved only by the fact that Zu_faul bolded only my name and not the "Vote :" when he tried to hammer me.

  • I didn't care a whole lot for this game. I replaced in at the request of the infamous Battle Mage, knew nothing of the TV show the game was based on, and had, yet again, a boring as hell role. But like any game, I grew to like it the closer we came to the endgame, as the analytical processes that I do enjoy become more vital as the players begin to die. Scum got extremely screwed early on as well, paving the way to an easy win.

  • My role allowed me to investigate players, finding out what their name was. I guess this was to be used to counter a false-claim. Wound up dead when trying to investigate Quagmire on the first night. Game nearly was abandoned in late 2007 when the moderator bailed.

  • Awesome game concept. Scum groups could not kill each-other, leading to unconventional tactics, such as allowing claimed scum to survive and inform us over a multiple days. Definitely one of my favorite games to date.
