Uploading images to the wiki is done at Special:Upload; at present, it seems to only accept .JPG and .GIF files, although previously it would also accept .PNG files.
Note: The image itself isn't the page address you get from that ([[Image:whatever.png]]), that's a auto-generated page containing the image. You'll usually want to click the "Download high resolution version" link below it, and use that in your post, between [img][/img] tags.
