how I play

 LYNCH ALL LIARS

The "General Yu" : often when I say "you" in a game, I mean the general you, not a specific you, so sometimes I might just use "Yu", and so you should know what that means when you see it from me.

 predictability does NOT equal readability
  • In my first game there was the talk of "oh, so-and-so usually does that as town" or something similar and my brain went "well I have to play in a way to never let THAT sort of read get established! that seems like bad strategy" and so I've been playing with that mentality forever.
  • Sometimes I decide how I'm going to come at a game before it starts and stick with it, sometimes I change my mind.
  • Sometimes I decide how I'm going to play based on familiarity with the player-list, sometimes I change my mind.
  • Most times the game itself; flavor, playerlist, and overall "feel" of the game, determines for me how I approach the game.
  • I'm still relatively new and learning more with each game and that brings about a natural growth and change, but I hope I never reach a point where I can become predictable and wish to always be developing my game.
 SLAUGHTER THE USELESS FLOATERS
  • D1: I am always preferable to the entire player list being active participants throughout the entirety of the game. NO LURKING is ideal. However, lurking is still acceptable to a degree in general and, on D1, I am okay with lurking to the severest degree acceptable by the moderator, no matter scum or town. D1 I am hunting for scum, lurker lynches on D1 do not serve town at all and I think that anyone that tries to push a lurker lynch on D1 is looking for LHF and gets scumpings from me, or is misguided. However, come:
  • D2: Yu had better start participating and giving me something, or I will be on your butt, most likely (larger games I will allow a little more lurking than smaller on D2, but there had still better be something more than what you gave on D1. Anyone who was very active on D1 is permitted a good degree of lurk-leniency on D2. ( ^^<<that is just how the spacing worked out with the "D2"s - weird!)
  • D3: If you're lurking at this point I will be pushing for your lynch unless there is certain scum elsewhere.

history

I prefer the term "werewolf" but "mafia" comes out more naturally - I'm working on changing that.
  • - I first discovered "mafia" in October 2015. With only the most basic concepts of the game down I jumped headfirst into a complex game with an exceptional group of experienced players and BAM, I was hooked. DEEPLY HOOKED!
  • - 4 days later I went to a party with a new friend and a handful of people at the party were like "let's play werewolf around the campfire!"
  • - from there it was clear to me Werewolf was meant to be in my life.
