A counterclaim is, simply, a claim in response to another claim. More specifically, it is usually a situation where two or more players claim the same role, or if one player claims that another's claimed action is impossible. On the other hand, some scum will deliberately fakeclaim with the intent of getting counterclaimed by the real power role, thus saving the rest of the scum the trouble of finding that power role.
