An administrative category for the purposes of moderator waiting lists, a Blitz is defined as a game which has Day phase deadlines of 96 hours or less and Night phase deadlines of 48 hours or less. Blitz games are currently being trialed from November 1, 2015, to January 31, 2016, for possible addition as a permanent game category. Information regarding the trial can be found in the announcement thread.

Blitz games are played in Blitz Games Trial.

Players

There is a centralized waiting list for both moderators and players. To join a Blitz game, players should post in the Blitz Game Queue, specifying which game or games they are joining. When the game is full, the players will be contacted by the game's moderator.

Moderators

In order to sign up to moderate a Blitz with 13 or fewer players, a moderator must have successfully moderated one game (an Open Game or Mini Normal) to completion. In order to sign up to moderate a Blitz with 14 or more players, a moderator must have successfully moderated two games or the equivalent. Moderators with experience on other sites may request that their body of work elsewhere count as their one game of experience (PM mith); if approved, such moderators must still have been active on the site for at least three months and completed at least one Mafia game as a player.

To join the waiting list, PM Equinox with the planned title of the game, type of game (Normal, Open, or Theme) number of players, and name(s) of reviewers who have given final approval of the setup.

When the sign-up is approved, the list moderator will grant the moderator the requisite privileges, and the moderator can begin sign-ups when the game is next to take sign-ups.
