In 1992, Socrates took his band, "Socrates and the Philosophers" to a Battle of the Bands in Dallas. They got second place, to "Yellow and the Bounders", though after Yellowbounder left the band it became known as "Aimee and the Bounders". Their hit song, "I Know You're Scum", featured a sweet drum solo, and the following super-awesome third verse:
''I know you're scum
(He told me so)
I know you're scum
(But you don't know)
I know you're scum
(That his name)
I know you're scum
(IS! FISH! MONKEY! GOD!)''
This was in homage to Xyzzy's band, "Phantastica", and a mash-up they did with MoS's band "Specktackular" back when "Yellow and the Bounders" were just starting.
The song led to many important questions, like, "Who is the Fish Monkey God?", and "Why is that large blimp with /lost written on it floating over George's seemingly totally burnt down house?", and "Who is George? He didn't /in!"
Eventually is was discovered that Socrates had created the /lost because he was mad as his girlfriend. He apologized and everyone had a good laugh. But still, no one quite understood the truth, and Mafiascum only became a weirder place as a result. Eventually mith got around to solving the Mystery of the Blimps and also the Abbridged Mystery of George, but that's a story for a different day!

Slightly Made Up But Still Probably Relevant History

In 1992, Socrates took his band, "Socrates and the Philosophers" to a Battle of the Bands in Dallas. They got second place, to "Yellow and the Bounders", though after Yellowbounder left the band it became known as "Aimee and the Bounders". Their hit song, "I Know You're Scum", featured a sweet drum solo, and the following super-awesome third verse:

I know you're scum (He told me so) I know you're scum (But you don't know) I know you're scum (That his name) I know you're scum (IS! FISH! MONKEY! GOD!)
