A Juggernaut is a role capable of performing an unstoppable factional kill that cannot be blocked by any means - neither by Bulletproof, nor by Doctor or other protective roles, nor by Roleblocks. It is, however, trumped by roles that prevent the victim from being targeted at all, namely Commuter and, in some open setups, Hider.

Juggernaut is usually X-Shot. It is usually scum-aligned, but has been seen on Town Vigilantes as well.

Normal version

This role is allowed in Simple Normal games.

A Mafia or Serial Killer aligned Juggernaut is considered Normal on mafiascum.net. A Juggernaut cannot be stopped from performing a kill, unless their target has commuted. A Bodyguard would essentially be stopped from protecting against a kill and would not die.

A Juggernaut is considered to be an active role in Normal games.

Variations

A Juggernaut can easily be considered to be a passive role, having their factional kills become unstoppable. In fact, Juggernaut can easily be seen as both an active role and a passive role.

Use & Balance

Usually, One-Shot Juggernaut kills are put into the game to balance a potentially broken combination in the game. It is important not to waste the Juggernaut kill before something like Follow the Cop starts to take place.

Sample Role PMs

The standardized Role PM for "Juggernaut" describes the action as follows:

  • As an active action: if no other member of your faction is performing the factional kill action, you may target a player. Assuming no interference with your action, you will perform the factional kill. This action cannot be blocked or protected from. (edit)

Example (simplest form)

Welcome to game! You are a Mafia Juggernaut.

Your team-mates are names. You may talk to them here during night phases and confirmations only.

You have the following active abilities, but may use only one per Night:

  • Each Night, if no other member of your faction is performing this action, you may target a player. Assuming no interference with your action, that player will die.
  • Each Night, if no other member of your faction is performing the factional kill action, you may target a player. Assuming no interference with your action, you will perform the factional kill. This action cannot be blocked or protected from.

You win if at least one mafia member is alive and all other players are dead (or if nothing can prevent the same).

Confirm by replying to this PM with a summary of your role.

Example (with modifiers)

Welcome to game! You are a Mafia 1-shot Juggernaut.

Your team-mates are names. You may talk to them here during night phases and confirmations only.

You have the following active abilities, but may use only one per Night:

  • Each Night, if no other member of your faction is performing this action, you may target a player. Assuming no interference with your action, that player will die.
  • Once in the game at Night, if no other member of your faction is performing the factional kill action, you may target a player. Assuming no interference with your action, you will perform the factional kill. This action cannot be blocked or protected from.

You win if at least one mafia member is alive and all other players are dead (or if nothing can prevent the same).

Confirm by replying to this PM with a summary of your role.
