Glimmer of Hope is a setup that starts with overpowered scum but positive feedback drastically favors the town (hence glimmer of hope).
Setup
- 2 Mafia Goons
- 1 Town Exile
- 9 Vanilla Townies
Mechanics
- The Town Exile is revealed as the Town Exile at the start of the game.
- The Mafia's factional actions depend on M, which is the amount of Mafia Goons and Exiles alive.
- The Mafia have both a factional nightkill and a factional announcing poison (target will die the next night and will know they are poisoned) if M = 3.
- The Mafia have a normal factional nightkill if M = 2.
- The game is nightless if M = 1.
- The Mafia has daytalk and inherent multitasking.
Role PMs
Mafia Goon
- Welcome, [Player Name]. You are a Mafia Goon, along with your partner, [Player Name].
Abilities:
- Factional communication: At any time, you may talk with your partner here [Private Topic link].
- Factional kill: Each night phase, if M is 2 or 3, one of you or your partner may perform the factional kill.
- Factional poison: Each night phase, if M is 3, one of you or your partner may perform the factional poison, causing that player to be informed that they will die at the end of the next Night.
- Your presence contributes 1 to M.
Win condition:
- You win when the Town has been wiped out, or nothing can stop this from occurring.
Town Exile
- Welcome, [Player Name], you are a Town Exile.
Abilities:
- Your role card is revealed at the start of the game.
- Your presence contributes 1 to M.
Win condition:
- You win when there are no longer any threats to town.
Vanilla Townie
- Welcome, [Player Name], you are a Vanilla Townie.
Abilities:
- You have no special abilities.
Win condition:
- You win when there are no longer any threats to town.
