Player History

Who am I? I am Seraphim, a divine being, the highest level of angelic being in fact. The real question, in all supposition, is why in the world I am plural. Multiple Seraph. This is a good question that I would prefer not to answer at all. Thank you.

I joined the site on September 20th, 2008 and have participated to some degree ever since, playing in numerous games, finishing in a considerably lesser amount. However, I am working on not flaking and haven't flaked in a game for quite some time. I'd like to think I'm a decent player

Modding History

I have, to date, modded quite a few games. My first was Open 135: Polygamist Mafia which ended up failing due to me giving a replacement the wrong role PM, confirming a number of town players. The game was then restarted as the aptly named Open 145: Polygamist Mafia 2. Town won this game. This was my first fully modded game. I then proceeded to mod a Mini Theme, Mini Theme 833: Empire at War Mafia, based on the original Star Wars movie. The game was a mild success though some players criticized the use of the force-lynch ability given to the scum, which gave them the win.

During this game, I also ended up modding a game that I was back-up mod for, Mafia 97. I took over modding during Night 1 and managed to get the game up and running somewhat smoothly. My only regret was letting Kise replace back in...that was a sort of mistake. Ah well. Scum won this game

After this, I had two games who failed utterly. Newbie 861 was the most abject failure due to it getting abandoned completely. This is due to some major real life issues involving a lack of computer access, period, and some serious schoolwork. So, Mafiascum got dropped from my radar for a while. I apologize profusely to the players involved and the list mod, Vel-Rahn Koon.

My second failure was another Large Normal, this time of my own design. Mafia 104 ended up abandoned during this same time period but I had a backup mod, Xylthixlm, and his backup mod, SpyreX, who ended up taking over the game at various points. This game had waaaay too much flavor for a Normal along with some questionable mechanics that got me some serious heat in MD.

After disappearing, I reappeared and decided to try my hand at modding again. This turned into my greatest modding victory, a masterpiece called The Mars Volta Mafia which was a great success. It only needed three replacements, which I found easily, and it was great fun for everyone involved. I also had a great backup mod, Percy, who took over while I was gone due to V/LA. He's pretty kickass, FYI. Town ended up winning.

After the Mars Volta Mafia, I have decided to commit myself to a mission: games that combine complicated, mostly no-vanilla setups along with mechanics that favor scumhunting to create games that generate interest in both phases. My upcoming game, The World Ends With You, will hopefully involve such mechanics.
