Style

I like playing town and my favourite part of the game is trying to read people's thought process and motivations. I love it when I can go really in depth trying to figure someone out and sometimes I come away learning a bit about them! I try to read people for towntells and in general find town, then PoE scum along with ruling out associations. I like mid-game the most because there's information to work with and less people to look at, but it isn't as stressful as lategame/lylo.

I get scumread a lot and have trouble with appearance so I often play very reserved or defensive especially early game. I'm always indecisive and second guessing and I come off as self-conscious even as town which gets me wagoned a lot, so far I've never had a game where everyone townread me.

Scum is too stressful for me to enjoy, playing PR is annoying because I have to worry even more about being wagoned than usual, and I prefer games decided via scumhunting rather than PRs or weird setup mechanics.

Prefer to be a Pro-Town Player.

Luckily for us though, town more or less screwed themselves d1-2 outing 3 PRs with 1 of them lynched. In d3 mylo I led a mislynch using my towncred onto the scummiest looking town for the win. Was near universally townread all game and not once voted, but my actual play was kind of half-assed. In general town were pretty apathetic this game.

Mini 1812	Mini Normal	6	Town Tracker	Win	Alright game. Misread ASP d1 but we lynched my other scumread which was scum. D2 I wanted to wait and see how things developed on ASP but scum quickhammered and then nk'd me even though it was technically my mislynch and should've made me look bad. Murdercat and nacho pulled it off d4/5 though plus good play from shadow_step. Overall okay reads but qh+nk reduced how much game impact I could've had. Main mistake was not doing anything to prevent the quickhammer; had a feeling it would happen and wanted more content to judge the slot but I thought it'd be weird asking people to take it slow on my scumread.

Newbie 1707	Newbie	5	Town BP	Win	Didn't really deserve this win. My reads were awful and of my 4 top scumreads, 2 we mislynched, 1 was nightkilled and 1 became conftown in 5p through PR claim. Just from making it to the 5p it became 2 scum in a pool of 3 so it was simple finally figuring it out there. After it was clear I scumread both scum, the scum Murph actually claimed BP in desperation and I had to CC. It was a close 1v1 and he almost convinced the others but we managed in the end. Well played to the Murph/AlpacaAlpaca newbie scumteam for completely fooling almost everyone until lylo.

Newbie 1712	Newbie	6	Town VT	Loss	A tough loss. Didn't take d1 seriously, which made BBT tunnel me for most of the remaining game. D2 my scumreads were on 1 scum 1 town but we lynched the townie. D3 was really good since I finally lynched scum and managed to townread BBT, but d4 I couldn't defend myself to him in a 1v1 vs the scum in 3p and I basically lost from the day 1 mishaps. Lesson learned is not to risk my appearance too hard on reaction tests, and be careful posting strange theories which weird people out even if it is technically being honest.

Mini 1796	Mini Normal	3	Town Cop	Loss	Very mediocre game by me. Mislynched drmyshotty d1 though he was refusing to work with anyone and self voting. Someone quickhammered him and I cop'd them to find an inno, but I didn't defend him much out of self preservation so he still got lynched. However, scum rolecop'd me based on a d1 crumb and were committed to killing me by then anyways. The game went on to scumTranscend bussing his partners and keeping JK alive in order to use his 1-shot strongman so very WP to him here. On the town side Dunnstral was pretty good d1. Had I lived my second cop check would've been a guilty but my reads were still bad here along with the crumb.

Newbie 1714	Newbie	8	Mafia Goon	Win	First scum game as a halfway experienced player! Was worried from pregame because of ranger, and even though I tried so hard to look town Beeboy suspected me, Ranger was paranoid about townreading me and F-oh-x was worried as well; it was like they all scumread me via gut but just didn't yet have the evidence to pursue it, and on top of it my partner flaked. Luckily for me town misplayed hard, someone quickhammered to end d1 early and that let me kill Ranger for some breathing room. D2 new partner Mhssmith showed up who's a pretty cool guy and played great, getting townread by everyone. We return lynched the hammerer d2, killed F-oh-x who was cop and made it to 5p lylo with only beeboy scumreading me so easy win. Alright play here but the fact is most of the experienced players still scumread me, also feel bad for winning based mainly on one person's poor play.

Town gutread each other, especially Creature and Transcend, right from rvs before scum even started posting and we were talking townblocks and PoEing scum incredibly early. Reads were great even though I kept second guessing them, and good play from Creature and Transcend, plus Ranger losing motivation made the win easy.

Mini 1762	Mini Normal	9	Town VT	Win	Oh boy. This game started early february and dragged on all the way to may. I had begun and finished 6 games in the span of playing this one and actually changed as a player over the course of this game by learning from each other one finishing. D1 stretched to no-lynch because people were indecisive; I was misread BBT here anyways though. D2 stretched out due to replacements and the mod flaking, I messed up and mislynched Beeboy. D3 I was finally scumreading scum, mainly the groupscum, convinced on syn scum but a bit unsure on GR and the possibility of it being townGR vs scumSyn. GR was the lynch d3 but it didn't erase my syn scumread, RC pointed out the likelihood of it being bussing too and I kept pushing syn for the rest of the game despite their exchange convincing most people. Around d4 more replacements made the day longer, but actually saved the game since the townies replacing out all scumread me. I couldn't convince town to lynch syndesis here despite all my efforts, and it was between me and my townread kirroha so I had to hammer my townread to save myself. I had to work with MagnaofIllusion on me being town here which was really hard since he was stubborn and this was a near loss, thankfully GiF defended and saved my life there. D5 3p lylo I finally convinced MoI and got the syndesis lynch, which won the game as last scum was traitor. A very gruelling but satisfying win in the end. Started day 1 still a newbie but by the end was semi-experienced, I think it's cool you can actually see progression because of how long this game was, and hilariously people replacing in scumread that difference from d1 to lylo. Props to RC GiF and Titus as well as MoI for changing his mind and Metrion for backup modding; this came very close to being abandoned. What a marathon this was.

639:C9++	Open	7	Town 1sDoc	Win	Amazing game that I barely played in. Townread BBT d1 and agreed with his dave scumread, but switched to wagon charl later day to try to sort him. Unfortunately town-charl self quickhammered unexpectedly and ended the day early then me + BBT got killed n1 by Sk and maf respectively. Town pulled it off in the end with really good clutch play so WP to them, though I had no game impact here because of how the day ended so fast my reads were at least good overall.

Scumteam replaced out d1 and I did end up mislynching d1, but I read the scumteam next day along with strong association between the two so that was it. Lynched one of them d2 and cop guilty on the other d3 ended the game fast for the win. Of note was JaeReed who drove the game in activity, was super obvtown and fun to play with.

My thinking was scum PGO probably wouldn't exist as it'd be really strong and also I couldn't find an instance of it in any other games despite looking really hard for one. But day 1-only PGO makes sense from a balance perspective and writing off unconventional things from a role madness game was really dumb as well. At the very least I scumread the other two scum of kelbris and flubbernugget, but still I want to forget this game ever happened.

Was inexplicably killed n1 despite being a potential mislynch, town lynched my other scumread d2 though and got a guilty d3 for the win. Reads were so-so but died too early to really be a factor anyways. Really enjoyed playing with nachomamma8 here for the first time, he IC'd very well I felt like I learned a lot from him.

I think the setup was town sided with 3mason+UBP, and town did end up steamrolling. My contribution in this win was minor but at least my reads were good.

D3 lylo I would have been lynched but tracker luckily found scum. D4 I screwed up yet again in my 3p lylo choice and mislynched alexcellent for the loss because I was too paranoid of his experience as a player. Pretty much single-handedly lost this for town. At the very least d1 was fun and the playerlist was cool, everyone was nice and didn't rub it in.

What happened was my partner Kublai Khan got wagoned as suicider and I didn't bus because I didn't want to lose him d1. Because he was very busy IRL he didn't defend himself and just suicided. People then wagoned me via association, and I was demotivated from losing my partner that fast so didn't put up much of a fight... so despite looking ok for most of the day, I was still lynched d1 in the end.

Here at least I hard defended performer before I got lynched leading people to wagon him next day as my "partner". Sick play from massive carried the game for us though, including the risky hammer on performer to buy our other partner another day alive. Don't deserve this win at all, though all the scum rolls as a newbie sucked.

DI scumread scum and joined the wagon on him until he claimed doc; at the time I didn't know bg-doc was an impossible combination so I wasn't aware it was a scumclaim, but I still scumread him and thought the way he claimed was fake and pushed for his lynch anyways. Town then went to wagon Llama but he was one of my strong townreads, so I tried my best to divert that onto a common scumread of town and one of my side scumreads, who was the other scum. With him lynched, overnight I thought about why BG-doc 100% wouldn't exist, so I outed/cc'd for the win the start of next day. Notably had a ton of people misreading and tunnelling me all game but managed to townread them.

After those first 2 games I couldn't play more newbies until I SE qualified, and there's a string of games including this where its newb-obv-scum me getting destroyed by experienced players.

Had to hammer a townread to save myself, but got killed anyways for the PR softing. Main mistake this game was not knowing how to judge replacements and activity in reading someone, and I ended up townreading both scum replacements because of this. Secondary mistake was PR softing.
