* Please "'''unvote'''", if necessary, before casting a new vote.
* If you have any questions, please PM them to me. I will not answer any question asked of me in the thread. Do not directly quote any PMed answers from me.
Moderator(s): Sugar
C9
Status: Completed
Winner(s): Mafia

Newbie 5 was a mafiascum game played in the Road to Rome newbie forum. It lasted from December 15, 2003 until January 21, 2004, (36 days, 23 hours, 4 minutes) and featured a total of 152 posts. The Mafia won.

Players

The players in Newbie 5 were:

Pregame and Set-Up

As moderator Sugar described the players as being lost Bahamian tourists who somehow ended up in Rome. As the game lacked a Night 0, Sugar made a NPC Bahamian tourguide the victim of a murder to set the mood.

The setup for Newbie 5 featured a 7-player C9 setup. This setup includes 2 mafia goons, 1 cop, 1 doctor, and 3 vanilla townies.

Day/Night 1

Day 1 ended with the elimination of Flying Dutchman, a vanilla townie.

A turning point on Day 1 was the near-elimination of Vraak X. Someone had accidentaly posted in this game instead of Newbie 4, so the 4th vote on Vraak X was actually the third. Vraak X has claimed cop after he thought he was eliminated, so everyone backed off the vote. Things went back and forth until Fishbulb posted a argument against Flying Dutchman. Dutchman didn't argue his innocent very well and gave up after 3 votes, thinking he was eliminated.

Day 1 was 25 days, 10 hours, 12 minutes and lasted 110 posts.

Night 1 ended with the reveal that Fishbulb, a vanilla townie, had been night-killed. Vraak X had investigated Fishbulb and received no result due to Fishbulb's death. Morpheus, the town doctor, presumably protected Vraak X, but never explicitly stated so.

Night 1 lasted 3 days, 11 hours, 30 minutes.

Day 2

Day 2 ended with the elimination of Mr_Gnome_It_All, a vanilla townie.

Mr_Gnome_It_All had a low post count for Day 1 and most of Day 2. When he posted, he claimed to have nothing to add and voted randomly for Vraak X, the town cop. Mr_Gnome_It_All recanted the vote, but too many people found it suspicious. He was eliminated.

Day 2 lasted 8 days, 1 hour, 22 minutes and lasted 41 posts.
