An administrative category for the purposes of moderator waiting lists, a Mini Normal is defined as a Normal game which has 10-13 players (12 or less players prior to 1/1/2011), but is not classified as an Open Game.
A game with 9 or less players is considered a Micro Normal.
Mini Normal and Micro Normal games are played in New York.
Players
There is a centralized waiting list for both moderators and players. To join a Mini Normal game, players should post in the Normal Queue ("/in for mini", for example). If there are multiple games in sign-ups, players should specify which game they are signing up for. When the game is full, the players will be contacted by the game's moderator.
One or two Mini or Micro Normal games will be in signups at a time, depending on if a Large Normal game is in signups or not.
Moderators
In order to sign up to moderate a Mini or Micro Normal, a moderator must have been active on the site for at least three months and completed at least one Mafia game as a player.

When a new game fills up, the List Mod will inform the new moderator and grant them the requisite privileges, and the moderator can then start the game.
Moderators should make sure to read the guidelines for Normal Games.
