In May 2009 scummer Lord Gurgi created a thread to bring everyone's attention to the wanton abuse of iPods in Avatars and pleaded for an end to it. Much to his dismay, the thread became a place for everyone to instead display their mistreatment of said device. This epidemic follows the Great Nibbler Takeover of 2008 and attempted hostile takeover plot by Tigers and sympathizers in 2007.
