Alternate account

Sometimes players will create new accounts to avoid metagaming based on their previous behavior, or to get away from indignities/personality conflicts. This is allowed (if not encouraged) on MafiaScum.net, provided the player does not try to use the two accounts to each others' advantage (such as playing in the same game, or fishing for information with one account about something the other account is doing/playing).

Alts are not to be used to participate in more games than a player-limit allows. Example: Bob & Joe are two screen names for one person. If Bob is in three mini games, Joe may only join one (since the mini game limit is four games).

Joke accounts are also sometimes made for April Fool's Day, or to mess with established Scummers. STD is a long-running example of this.
